These photographs are not only a reflection of a place and a time, but a tale of the fantasies and fears of a community, where the invisible becomes the protagonist and history is written in the air.
In this old Schering medicine factory in the Bajo Belgrano neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina, contraceptives and eye drops were manufactured from 1938 to 2010. Neighbors were afraid to go near it because of the belief that the interior was still contaminated with hormones. The building remained unoccupied despite years of air recycling and soil remediation.
